Lille Lykke
Lille Lykke is a modern café focusing on homemade pastries, specialty coffee, locally produced tea, and high-quality sandwiches. I wanted to develop a visual identity that reflects the café’s values: young, colorful, and bold, with a Scandinavian interior and a design language expressed through strong colors. The identity challenges the traditional café aesthetic with a playful and distinctive profile, where quality and personality take center stage. The delivery included logo, color palette, typography, packaging, printed materials, signage, and storefront design.
Solution
The idea for the logo came from the word lykke (meaning “happiness”), and how many people find happiness in a good cup of coffee. This was personified through a coffee bean joyfully taking a bath in a coffee cup. It was important that the brand’s charm came through in both the illustration and typography. The color palette is bold, youthful, and slightly retro, complementing the character of the logo.
